Pik Rite

More than 38 years ago, the market was ripe for a better way to harvest tomatoes, and Union County residents Elvin Stoltzfus and Joe Yoder were there to pick up the ball. Or, in this case, fruit.
Elvin and Joe were convinced that, with their diverse farming and welding experience, they could build tomato-harvesting equipment that would be superior to anything else available at that time. In a small garage, the duo began an entrepreneurial journey that not only resulted in a better harvester but also led to the creation of Pik Rite manufacturing.

Today, Pik Rite, located just west of Lewisburg in Union County, has more than 80 employees and has shipped its products to 27 countries on six continents. The company designs and manufactures innovative, high-quality vegetable harvesting equipment, manure spreaders, commercial waste-handling tanks and dump truck bodies. Pik Rite’s tomato and vegetable harvesters are leaders in the industry. The company is experiencing continued growth and expects to expand into even more markets.
