PennDOT finalizes Program Guidance for '18 Statewide Transportation Alternatives (TA) funding

Please be aware that PennDOT has finalized the Program Guidance for the 2018 Statewide Transportation Alternatives (TA) Set-Aside funding round. PennDOT intends to allocate $55 million for this statewide funding round. More information on the 2018 Statewide TA Set-Aside Application Round has been posted HERE

The electronic application, which must be completed and submitted, will be available on the webpage starting July 10th. Potential project sponsors are strongly encouraged to participate in a webinar on July 13th at 1:00 PM. The call-in number, pin, and visual access links can be found on page 19 of the Program Guidance. The application deadline is September 22nd. Project selections are expected in late January 2018. 

The Transportation Alternatives Set-Aside provides funding for programs and projects defined as transportation alternatives, including on- and off-road pedestrian and bicycle facilities, infrastructure projects for improving non-driver access to public transportation and enhanced mobility, community improvement activities, environmental mitigation, recreational trail program projects, and safe routes to school projects. Local governments, regional transportation authorities, transit agencies, natural resource or public land agencies, school districts, local education agencies, schools, and tribal governments are eligible to apply for TA funds.
