The Union County Board of Commissioners are once again issuing a special invitation to citizens of all ages to consider more active involvement in their county community by offering their service as potential volunteers to one or more of the many volunteer boards that shape Union County life.  Nominees are currently being sought for terms beginning January 2018. Commissioners plan to make appointments by early January at the latest.

Volunteers are currently needed for the Union County’s Housing Authority, Redevelopment Authority, CMSU Behavioral Health Advisory Board, Hospital Authority, and Higher Education Authority. Commissioners are looking for county residents with special backgrounds and interests willing to freely donate their time, talents, ideas, and opinions. Open minds and creative thinkers most encouraged. Younger citizens are particularly sought.

More information and a nomination form is available here and is available from the Commissioners’ office and web page. Forms are requested to be submitted by as soon as possible.
