Industrial Development Corporation
Overview
The Union County Industrial Development Corporation (UCIDC) serves as an industrial and economic development agency for the County of Union. The Corporation was founded in 1995 when the Union County Commissioners formally established the UCIDC as an independent operating unit of Union County.
In December of 2005 the UCIDC offices were relocated to the Union County Government Center. This was done to enhance the relationship between the business community, the UCIDC and the County. This move was part of a larger plan to assemble in one facility those organizations and agencies that will guide the future growth and development of Union County.
Today, Union County is served by a single, independent, county-chartered industrial development corporation with responsibility for the execution of an integrated development and tourism marketing strategy on behalf of the citizens and businesses of Union County, Pennsylvania.
