Union County "Green Phase"

Union County Revised Coronavirus plan effective June 12, 2020. Understanding what is a GREEN PHASE After a county transitions to the yellow phase, it is closely monitored for increased risk, such as significant outbreaks. If overall risk remains mitigated for fourteen days, it will transition to the green phase. The green phase eases most restrictions with the continued easing of operational requirements, it will be equally important to continue to monitor public health indicators and adjust orders and restrictions as necessary to ensure the spread of disease remains at a minimum. 

General Information

  • Masks are required for all persons entering County buildings; employees, visitors and delivery personnel
  • Masks will be worn by anyone within 6' of another person (employee or visitor) and in all common areas.
  • Temperatures will be taken of anyone entering  County buildings/offices. 
    • No-touch thermometers will be used to take the temperature of all  visitors, delivery personnel, etc. upon entry.
    • The County is following CDC guidance of refusing entry to anyone registering a temperature of 100.4-degrees Fahrenheit or above. 

Visitors allowed by appointment only

All incoming visitors are required to wear a mask and have their temperatures taken. Department personnel will instruct visitors as to what number of family members are permitted (if required to complete visit), visitors must call the department when they have arrived, and they will be escorted to the department. Any other specifics  for the visit will be explained before the appointment.  

  • Visitors are encouraged to make all appointments for any additional offices needed before coming to the Courthouse or Government Center before they arrive
  • Visitors have the option to continue to use the research computer in the lobby of the Courthouse without the need for an appointment.

Courthouse Safety

  • Elevators in the Courthouse will be limited to one person or a family unit/persons living together. Please use hand sanitizer after you have left the elevator. Sanitizer will be available in each department for use as a pubic safety precaution. 
  • Public meetings remain as current; electronic/virtual meetings are preferred/priority. 

Government Center - Lobby Open to the Public

Tax Claim

  • Visitors by appointment only.  
  • All appointments by visitors will take place in the lobby cubical. 
  • Payments may be dropped in the lockbox located in the lobby.
