Lewisburg, PA.  As the Union County Board of Commissioners delve into a new year, they are issuing a special invitation to citizens of all ages to consider more active involvement in their county community by offering their service as potential volunteers to one or more of the many volunteer boards that shape Union County life.  Nominees are currently being sought for terms beginning January 2019. Commissioners plan to make appointments January 22nd or February 5th at the latest.

Volunteers are currently needed for the Union County Housing Authority, the Redevelopment Authority, the Planning Commission, and the Soil Conservation Board. Commissioners are looking for county residents with special backgrounds and interests willing to freely donate their time, talents, ideas, and opinions. Open minds and creative thinkers most encouraged. Younger citizens are particularly sought.
